Our Vision

Big Brothers Big Sisters is committed to providing children with positive caring adult mentors. Through these professionally managed one-to-one relationships, children are able to build lasting friendships that enhance their emotional, social and recreational well-being.

Big Brothers and Big Sisters make a BIG impact in the lives of children:

In a recent study conducted for Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, Little Brothers and Little Sisters who met regularly with their Bigs were:

  • 46 percent less likely to start using drugs and 27 percent less likely to start drinking.

  • 54 percent less likely to skip a day of school and 37 percent less likely to skip a class.

  • One-third less likely to hit someone.

  • More trusting of their parents or guardians, less likely to lie to them, and felt more supported and less criticized by their peers and friends.

Being a Big Brother or Big Sister is a great way to make a difference in your community.
